A professional player from 2002 to 2026 and trained at Fribourg Gottéron, Julien Sprunger is one of the leading figures of contemporary Swiss hockey. A right winger and captain of the Dragons for many seasons, he has played more than 1000 National League games under the same colours, a record of loyalty almost unmatched in the history of the championship.
Selected numerous times for the national team and an Olympian in Vancouver in 2010, he has scored hundreds of points while remaining, above all, the face of a club, a city and a region. Yet beyond the numbers lies a deeply human profile: a player close to his supporters, respected in the locker room, a husband and father who continues, season after season, to lead by example on and off the ice.
